A CLASIC IN A MODERN WAY...

Legendary fly fisher Lee Wulff wrote in his book: Lee Wulff On Flies in 1979 about his early experiments with dry flies and skaters tied on plastic tube. Below you will find our tying instructions for Bombers tied on tube that we have used for some 14 years with great success.

When tying your own salmon dry flies on tube you will find that you can:

1.     Create huge dry flies with no significant weight
   

2.     Fly will stay high on the water...   
   

3.     You will also get a fly that will stay afloat much longer due to low weight
   

Even big Bombers and other big dry flies like The Monster Tube Caddis ™ or Stone fly imitations will be feather light - compared to the same fly tied on a big iron.

When hooking up with salmon the tube-fly will disconnect from the hook and run up the leader. This will equalize any leverage problem Read more on this issue that otherwise could have occur using a fly tied on a big iron. When the hook is disconnected from the fly it is also much easier to de-hook the fish while the fly stay unharmed above the jaws of the fish

In case your fishing on catch and release water the smaller hooks that you can use on these flies are less damaging to the fish than that of the big irons
